What we pour
Flatwork, steps and walls, and the custom work
Residential jobs, plus work as a subcontractor for remodelers and home builders. If it is concrete and it is in the Puget Sound area, ask.
Patios and walkways
New patios and paths, or a new section blended into the sidewalk you already have so it looks like it was always there.
- Broom, sand and exposed-aggregate finishes
- Stamped and colored concrete
- Matched to existing concrete
Driveways and parking pads
Driveways, entryways and extra parking — room for the truck camper included — dug out, formed and reinforced before the pour.
- New and replacement driveways
- Parking pads and extensions
- Pads for sheds and gazebos
Stairs and steps
Front steps, garden stairs and steps tying a new pad into the yard, formed to a consistent rise you will not trip on.
Retaining walls
Walls that hold a slope back and give you a level yard to use, often poured alongside the patio or walkway they support.
Slabs and foundations
Shop slabs, interior floors and slabs poured over radiant heat, for homeowners and as a subcontractor on residential and commercial builds.
Custom concrete
This is where the name comes from. Bring the idea nobody else would quote and we will work out how to build it.
- Backyard skatepark features
- Concrete countertops
- Hand-carved and stained shotcrete
- Indoor and outdoor living space upgrades

How a job runs
From first call to curing
Brice explains each step before it happens, and plans the pour around the Washington weather rather than through it.

Site visit and estimate
We come out, measure, look at the grade, drainage and access, and talk through finishes and price.
Dig, form and reinforce
The ground is excavated and compacted, forms are set to line and grade, and rebar goes in before any concrete arrives.
Pour, finish and cure
Pour day, the finish you chose, then curing time before it takes weight.
About us
Here in Outer Space
Outer Space Concrete & Construction is Brice Niebuhr’s concrete company, working out of Sultan in Snohomish County. Brice and his crew pour residential flatwork, steps, walls and slabs across Seattle and the surrounding areas, and sub for remodelers and builders on bigger jobs.
The name is about the other half of the work. In the company’s own words: here in Outer Space, we are committed to expanding your mind on the possibilities of your project. That is how a backyard in Gig Harbor ended up with a hand-carved, stained underground sauna.
We pride our company on reliability, great communication, integrity, and quality work. Our reviewers put it their own way: Brice explains every step, and keeps you posted when the weather moves the schedule.

In their words
Brice and his team did an amazing job extending our parking space into our backyard so that we had room to park our truck camper and adding stairs. Brice did great communicating and working around the not so optimal fall weather forecast. We were lucky to find him for this project and would recommend him for any future concrete work.
Parking pad and stairs I highly recommend Outer Space Concrete & Construction. Brice and his crew are professional, trustworthy, reliable and true craftsman. They know what they’re doing and their price is fair. Brice explained every step very thoroughly. I would definitely hire them again!
30 by 30 concrete slab Top notch service! Brice and his crew did our front walkway, a relatively small job. He blended it in with existing sidewalk and added details to polish it off. All around great job!
Front walkway Brice and his crew did an amazing job in my patio. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely hire him again for my next project

Before you call
Questions people ask first
What kind of concrete work do you take?
Patios, walkways, driveways, parking pads, stairs, retaining walls, slabs and foundations, for homeowners and as a subcontractor for remodelers and home builders. Plus custom work: skatepark features, countertops, and carved or stained concrete.
Can you match new concrete to what I already have?
Yes. A new walkway or patio can be blended into an existing sidewalk or slab so the join does not stand out — one of our Google reviewers had exactly that done on their front walkway.
Do you do decorative finishes?
Yes: broom, sand and exposed-aggregate finishes, stamped and colored concrete, and hand-carved, stained shotcrete. We stamped a stretch of sidewalk at the Edgewater Hotel on Seattle’s waterfront.
Where do you work?
We are based in Sultan and work across Seattle and the surrounding areas — recent jobs include Seattle, Snoqualmie, Enumclaw and Gig Harbor. If you are not sure whether you are in range, call and ask.
Are you licensed, bonded and insured?
Yes. We hold Washington contractor license OUTERSC803QR (Construction Contractor, General) with the Department of Labor & Industries, and carry the bond and liability insurance the state requires. You can look the license up on L&I’s Verify a Contractor page.
How do I get in touch?
